A real editor that an AI can drive — on your own machine
Itsframe is a local-first AI video editor for Windows. It brings a full professional timeline together with an AI that can see, hear and edit your video — while keeping every change real, visible and undoable, and your footage on your own disk.
Why Itsframe exists
AI arrived in video editing as a black box: a prompt went in, a finished file came out, and the edit it made was not something you could open, trust or take apart. That is fine for a throwaway clip and useless for real work.
Itsframe takes the opposite path. It is a complete desktop editor — a magnetic timeline, keyframes on every property, GPU colour, a real mixer, on-device captions, 3D titles and 4K export — and the AI reaches that editor through exactly the tools you use by hand. When the AI removes pauses or lays captions, those land as ordinary, typed commands in your History. You can read them, change them and undo them, one step at a time.
The second idea is that the agent should be yours. Itsframe runs a local MCP server, so Frami, the built-in AI assistant, your own Claude Code or Codex, and any MCP client all drive the same editor. Your subscription, your choice of model, your machine.
What we build on
Four principles the editor is actually designed around — not slogans, but how it works.
Local-first
Editing happens on your machine. Files stay in place on import, nothing is uploaded to edit, and on-device Whisper can caption without an account.
Every AI edit is real
What the AI does is a normal, typed command on the timeline, marked as the AI's. It is editable and undoable, and batch_edit groups several into one all-or-nothing step.
Bring your own agent
Itsframe is an MCP server. Connect Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT, Codex or any MCP client — it runs on your subscription with that provider and spends zero Itsframe credits.
Arabic-first support
The interface ships in English and Arabic, switching to Arabic automatically on an Arabic system, and captions are Arabic-aware — words are never split into letters.
