Agents & MCP
Bring your own agent
Itsframe is an MCP server. Connect Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT, Codex or any MCP client and let it drive the editor — cut, grade, caption, title and render. It runs on your subscription with that provider and spends zero Itsframe credits.
// your agent, over MCP itsframe.timeline.removeSilences({ min: 0.4 }) itsframe.captions.generate({ style: "word" }) itsframe.audio.matchLoudness(-14) itsframe.render.checkFrame("00:04.6") ✓ 4 edits · all undoable
How it works
Itsframe runs a local MCP server on your own machine. Switch it on, point your agent at it, and start editing by conversation.
Turn on the server
In Itsframe, open Integrations › Lumen MCP server and flip it on. It listens on 127.0.0.1 only and hands you an endpoint and a bearer token.
Connect your agent
Register the endpoint with your client — claude mcp add for Claude Code, or an .mcp.json entry for Cursor and other MCP clients. Copy the exact command from the app.
Edit by conversation
Your agent calls the editor's tools. Every change lands as a real, typed edit in your History, exactly like your own — and every one is undoable.
Works with the agents you already use
Any MCP client can connect. The ones below are what creators reach for most.
claude mcp add command and edit from the terminal..mcp.json and drive the editor from the IDE agent.Connect in one line
The real commands Itsframe gives you. The endpoint defaults to http://127.0.0.1:47910/mcp; each install generates its own token — copy yours from the app and paste it where it says <YOUR-TOKEN>.
claude mcp add --transport http lumen http://127.0.0.1:47910/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer <YOUR-TOKEN>"
lumen (Itsframe's engine) — leave it as-is unless you rename it in your client.{

.mcp.json. This is the same object Itsframe copies for you — paste your token in place of <YOUR-TOKEN>.{

127.0.0.1/localhost, refuses browser origins, and requires the bearer token.133 tools for your agent
Frami, the built-in AI assistant, your own Claude Code or Codex, and any MCP client all share one toolset. The categories and counts below come straight from the tool registry.

Web, files & skills
8Watch a web video, read an attachment, and load the craft skill for a task before working.
Editor commands
58Every typed command the UI dispatches — the same ones you use by hand, exposed one-for-one.
Safe by design
An agent with hands only helps if you stay in control. Itsframe keeps every edit visible, reversible and local.
Everything is undoable
Every AI edit is a normal, typed command in your History, marked as made by the AI. batch_edit groups several into one all-or-nothing undo step.
Local & token-gated
The server listens on 127.0.0.1 only, refuses browser origins, and requires a bearer token. Media is edited in place and never uploaded.
Approval for risky steps
Code that runs in Blender, and any destructive external MCP tool, waits for your explicit approval in Itsframe before it runs.
Agent & MCP questions
Does my own agent cost Itsframe credits?
No. An agent you connect over MCP — ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot — runs on your subscription with that provider and spends zero Itsframe credits. Only generation that Itsframe runs for you (through Frami) uses plan credits.
Which clients can connect?
Any MCP client that speaks HTTP. Claude Code and Claude Desktop are first-class; Cursor and others connect through an .mcp.json entry. The app gives you the exact command and JSON to paste.
Where does the server run?
On your own machine. It binds to 127.0.0.1 only (default port 47910), refuses requests that carry a browser origin, and requires a bearer token you can regenerate at any time.
Can I undo what the agent did?
Yes. Every edit an agent makes is a real, typed command on the timeline, shown in History just like your own, and every step is reversible.
Do agents get the same tools as Frami?
Yes — Frami's models, your local Claude Code or Codex, and any external MCP client all share the same set of 133 tools. The tools also point your agent at the right skill for a task when it connects.
Can my agent see and hear the edit?
Yes. It can render a frame exactly as the export will look, read the whole edit as a contact-sheet image, look inside footage, read the transcript and measure loudness and silences — then verify its own work.
Your agent stays yours. Itsframe gives it hands.
Download Itsframe, switch on the MCP server, and connect the agent you already use.
