Itsframe is local-first: your media is edited in place and never uploaded, and the editor works fully offline. A connection is needed only for cloud AI services that spend credits.

Download
Get the Windows installer (NSIS, 64-bit). A SHA-256 checksum is published with each release so you can verify the file before installing.

Install
Run the installer and choose where to install. It creates a Start-menu and desktop shortcut, and the app updates itself from then on.

Open & sign in
Open Itsframe and start editing right away. To use cloud AI, sign in from Account & Subscription to link your device and activate credits — or connect your own agent over MCP.
The editor runs without an account. Signing in is only needed for the credit-metered cloud AI; an agent you connect over MCP runs on your own provider subscription.

Record straight into the project
Capture any screen, window or a region you drag — from the title bar, Ctrl Shift R, or the command palette — up to 4K at 60 fps in H.264, HEVC or AV1.
Clips land on the timeline
When recording stops, the screen, camera and microphone arrive on the timeline lined up and grouped, ready to edit.
Works on any graphics card
The encoder is tried with real frames first and falls back from GPU codec to GPU codec to the processor, so recording works everywhere.
Clicks as data
A recording keeps where the pointer was and when it clicked — turn on Zoom on clicks or Highlight clicks, both ordinary keyframes you can undo.

Do I need an account to edit?
No. The editor runs without an account and works offline. You only sign in to activate the credit-metered cloud AI.
Windows shows a SmartScreen warning — is that normal?
At the moment the installer is not code-signed, so Windows SmartScreen may show a warning. The auto-updater still verifies each release by its SHA-512 checksum for file integrity. Code signing is planned.
How do I verify the download?
A checksum is published with every release on the releases page, so you can verify the installer before running it.
Can I use my own AI agent?
Yes. Connect ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot or any MCP agent. It runs on your subscription with that provider and spends zero Itsframe credits.
