Connect your own agent

Drive Itsframe over MCP

Itsframe runs a local MCP server. Switch it on, point your agent at the endpoint with its bearer token, and let it drive the editor — on your own subscription, spending zero Itsframe credits.

Enable the MCP server

The server is off by default. Turn it on inside the app, then copy your own endpoint and token.

  1. Open the panel

    In Itsframe, open Integrations › Lumen MCP server (under For agents) and flip the switch on. (“Lumen” is Itsframe's engine; the server registers under that name.)

  2. Copy the endpoint & token

    The panel shows the endpoint and an access token. The endpoint defaults to http://127.0.0.1:47910/mcp, and each install generates its own token. You can regenerate the token at any time with New token.

  3. Register it with your client

    The panel also pre-fills the exact claude mcp add command and the .mcp.json object with your live values — copy whichever your client uses. The forms below show the shape.

The panel copies these pre-filled with your real token. Everywhere below, <YOUR-TOKEN> stands in for the token you copy from the app.

Claude Code

Add the server with one command. It registers under the name lumen.

terminal
claude mcp add --transport http lumen http://127.0.0.1:47910/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer <YOUR-TOKEN>"

Cursor & any MCP client (.mcp.json)

Clients that read MCP servers from a JSON file (Cursor and others) take this object. It is the same object Itsframe copies for you — paste your token in place of <YOUR-TOKEN>.

.mcp.json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "lumen": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "http://127.0.0.1:47910/mcp",
      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer <YOUR-TOKEN>" }
    }
  }
}

Once connected, your agent reaches the same 133 editor tools Frami uses, and the server points it at the right skill for a task. Every edit it makes lands in your History like your own, and is undoable.

Security

  • The server binds to 127.0.0.1 only (default port 47910), so it is reachable only from your own machine.
  • It refuses any request that carries a browser origin, which blocks DNS-rebinding and cross-site requests from web pages.
  • It requires the bearer token on every request; a missing or wrong token is rejected. Regenerate the token any time from the panel.
  • Media is edited in place and never uploaded. Steps that run code in Blender wait for your approval in Itsframe first.
Your agent stays yours and runs on your provider subscription — it spends zero Itsframe credits. For the overview of supported clients, see the Agents & MCP page.
