Edit in Itsframe

The craft tools, from the timeline to colour, sound, captions and motion. Everything here is a real, undoable edit — the same tools Frami, the built-in AI assistant, and your own agent use.

The timeline

The main track is magnetic: it keeps your story edge to edge with no gaps. Free tracks above and below carry B-roll, overlays, titles, captions, voice, music and sound effects.

  • Play and pause with Space; step a frame with ← / →; jump between edit points with ↑ / ↓.
  • Split the clip under the playhead with S, add a marker with M, toggle snapping with N.
  • Zoom in and out with = / -, or zoom to fit with Shift+Z.
  • Multiple timelines and nesting: keep as many timelines per project as you like, and nest a selection into its own timeline (Ctrl+Alt+N) to treat it as one piece.
  • Keyframes on every property, dragged right on the timeline — 28 easing curves each, or your own cubic-bezier.
Render previews: a bar under the ruler shows what may stutter and what is cached. Press Enter to render in-to-out (or the whole timeline), and preview at Full, 1/2, 1/4 or 1/8 resolution, sharpened back up on playback.

Trimming & arranging

Pro trim tools work the way you expect from a timeline editor.

  • Tools: Select (V), Blade (B), Roll (R, move a cut), Slip (Y, change the footage in place) and Slide (U, move between neighbours).
  • Delete: Delete leaves a gap; Shift+Delete ripple-deletes and closes it. Lift (;) and extract (') do the same around in/out points.
  • In & out points: mark in with I, out with O, both around a selection with X. Then play, lift, extract or export just that stretch.
  • Copy, cut, paste: the usual Ctrl+C / X / V; paste-insert (push later clips) with Ctrl+Shift+V, and paste attributes with Ctrl+Alt+V.
  • Groups, speed and more: group (Ctrl+G), freeze frame (Shift+F), detach or reattach audio for J- and L-cuts (Ctrl+L), plus speed and reverse and speed ramps.
  • Match frame (F) shows the source media behind the frame under the playhead; Replace edit (Ctrl+Alt+R) swaps a clip's media while keeping its place and length.

Colour & LUTs

Grade on the GPU with scopes beside the program monitor, then finish by eye.

  • Tone curves, lift / gamma / gain wheels, and HSL by colour range.
  • Imported .cube LUTs and one-click colour looks, previewed on your own footage before you apply them.
  • Scopes: waveform, RGB parade, vectorscope and histogram.
  • Chroma and luma keys with an eyedropper and spill suppression.
  • Feathered rectangle and ellipse masks you drag on the canvas — on adjustment layers too, to grade just part of the frame.

Audio & loudness

Itsframe has a real Web Audio mixer: a channel per track and a master bus, each with a fader, pan, a draggable EQ curve, a compressor and a limiter, with live meters.

  • Per-clip volume, fades and keyframes; transitions crossfade the sound too.
  • Studio voice clean-up and on-device noise reduction.
  • 15 built-in sound effects, plus ElevenLabs sound effects and music.
  • Duck music under speech with volume keyframes.
  • Loudness-normalise the export to −14 LUFS (YouTube, Spotify), −16 (Apple) or −23 / −24 (broadcast).

Captions & text

Transcription runs on your own GPU with Whisper (via WebGPU, or on the CPU) — no account, nothing uploaded. Captions stay in sync with every cut.

  • Four caption styles: Clean, Bold, Word by word (key words in an accent colour) and Boxed.
  • Karaoke-style highlight when the transcript has word timings. Arabic is wrapped by word, never split into letters.
  • Import SRT / WebVTT by dropping the file on the timeline, and export captions as SRT or WebVTT — on their own or beside the video.
  • Outlined titles in any installed or imported font, embedded in the project.
  • Text behind subject: cut the subject out on your computer and slip a title between them and the background.

Motion, 3D titles & transitions

Real 3D titles rendered in Blender, HTML + GSAP motion graphics via HyperFrames, and a library of transitions — all dropped onto the timeline as editable clips.

  • 2D and 3D transitions (cube, flip, door, page curl, shatter and more) placed before, on or after a cut.
  • One-click motion presets baked into keyframes: Ken Burns, push-ins, pans, pops — and a punch that lands on the detected beat.
  • Extruded, bevelled, studio-lit 3D titles rendered in Blender (requires Blender 4.2 or newer installed).
  • HyperFrames motion graphics: lower thirds, title cards, kinetic type, stat counters and more.
  • Motion tracking pins a title, sticker, mask or blur to something moving.
The design shortcuts live under Design in the shortcuts dialog: add a shape (Alt+U), Transform (T), animation presets (Alt+R), image-to-motion (Alt+M) and the keyframe graph editor (Alt+G). See the full list in Keyboard shortcuts.
